Warning I will be bragging a lot about my genius son. :)
Reagan is sooooo freaking hilarious. He says all sorts of words. I'd list them all but it would take forever. He can count to 5 and he knows his colors. (red, blue, green, yellow and purple) He's madly in love with Choo Choos and he SINGS. No just blah blah blah he actually sings the words to 2 songs. He knows the chorus of We are young and you have stolen my heart :) He still loves music videos and will rock out with his dad. He loves his bed and we don't have much trouble with him getting out of it before falling asleep. Oh he also knows some shapes. Mostly Circles but it amazes me how fast he is learning. Every day he says something new or points out things. Like the moon, airplanes, and snow. He LOVES the snow. He played in it and was sad when the snowball would shatter when his dad threw it on the cement. He would say OH NO what did you do!? (thats his favorite line.) My baby is growing up. I know he's a toddler now and has been for a while and weighing in at 30 lbs he is definitely not a baby but oh well. I still call him that :)
Mahayla is an angel. She's 13 lbs now and officially in size 2 diapers lol. She sleeps about 7 hours straight and is so happy all the time. She's started laughing. Like really really laughing and I love it. She has the cutest little smile and absolutely adores Reagan. Watching him is usually when we get the biggest laughs out of her. She still hates her car seat which is a bummer since we travel a lot for the holidays but someday she will learn it's not so bad. She grabs toys and i'm actually glad she hasn't figured out how to roll over yet. :) Did I mention she has the CUTEST fat rolls? I love them. Oh yeah and she loves her crib. Only wants to sleep in it. Which is fabulous at home... Not so fabulous when we go anywhere :)
Ben is doing great. He loves his job and is doing well. He gets compliments from his bosses all the time. I love that he sets his own schedule and can be available if I need his help. I am doing great too. I have a calling in the ward and I suck at it. I'm the 2nd counselor in the YW. I wish I could do better at it but with 2 under 2 it's becoming impossible. Not to mention we hate nursery in our ward and even Ben is uncomfortable with him being in there due to what we see going on. I don't want to diss on the ladies but we don't want Reagan in there. So sundays are hard because Ben teaches and I can't juggle both kids in yw. Tuesdays are even worse because mutual is at 7 and Ben also has Scouts that night. Oh and May does this thing where at 7 pm she starts screaming. Then goes to sleep at 7:30 so like I said before I'm the worst yw leader...ever.
Ever....

Mahayla Rees Chappell
Possible TMI for some of you :)
Mahayla came into the world on July 27th, 2012 at 6:37 p.m.. She weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long.
She is the most well behaved little girl. She's a good eater, a great sleeper and when she's awake she just likes to look around and make noises. She's never fussy unless she's hungry but that is fixed in seconds. She doesn't like to be changed though. I think she gets cold quickly because the second your done and she's wrapped back up she's as happy as can be.
My labor was short and sweet. But oh man it was more painful than Reagan's. I got to the hospital at noon and they checked me out and I was at a 4. I knew I was about there because I had a doctors appointment the day before and Dr. Hansen said I was a 3 almost a 4. At about 1 my contractions were getting about 2-3 minutes apart but they still weren't that painful just uncomfortable. The hospital was crazy busy and I still didn't even have an IV! So by 2 I had my iv and got all my paperwork finally ready and at around 3 I finally got my epidural. (heavenly). At about 4 my contractions weren't doing a whole lot and were starting to slow down so Dr. Hansen came in and said lets do some pitocin and get this sweetie here. So they started me on the lowest dose. We just kind of waited around and my parents were at my house with Reagan. He woke up at about 5 and said they were going to come over to the hospital in a little while to see me. The nurse checked me at 5:45 and I was at a 7 she also turned the pitocin up. I figured it was going to be a couple more hours. Around 6 my parents got there and Ben went down to meet them. I was texting a friend and all of the sudden INTENSE pressure and I felt fluid gushing. The pain started and I paged a nurse and called Ben and told em both to get there butts back in the room asap. This was 6:11 pm. The nurse came in and said your complete already and Ben was like wait she's ready? The nurse was like lets do a practice push and I said you might want to page the Doctor I go really fast. She said well lets just do one and see what happens. So I did one push and she said Stop. Do not push again. I said I told you so. She paged the baby nurse and Dr. Hansen and started getting ready. In the mean time I'm having intense pressure/pain and fighting so hard not to push. All the nurses come in and Dr. Hansen is on his way from the clinic. (same building luckily) As he's walking down the hall he sees my mom and says Show time! Well he gets into the room helps the nurse finish up getting ready and I do 2 more pushes and baby girl was born. So really i pushed for like 2 minutes? Fabulous I know. May had some lung issues but nothing to bad. She just sounded like she had crap in her lungs. We still got to hold her and her color and everything was fine but they called in a NICU Respiratory nurse just to clear out the stuff. Well she came in and helped May get it out of her stomach and once she coughed she got it all out.
Mahayla really is the sweetest thing. Reagan likes her and likes to show her off but he's having a hard time. He's insanely clingy especially to his dad. But he's learning and he likes to help with her.
We absolutely love the new addition to our family. Although she wasn't exactly planned or expected we are glad she came. Having 2 kids is such an adjustment and I'm terrified to go to the grocery store by myself. 1 kid was hard enough!! I'm so grateful to my parents for coming and helping so much with little danger. He had a blast with them and it was nice to know that he was in good hands so I didn't have to worry about him at all.

Baby #2
So most of you already know but we are expecting baby number 2. It's due August 14th. This pregnancy has been a lot worse than with Reagan. I just didn't feel great most of the time and had some intense nights and once went to the ER. All is well now. I'm 18 weeks and we know that we are having a baby girl! This pregnancy was not planned and came as quite a shock but we are excited and can't wait for her arrival. This one has been a lot different than with Reagan. Maybe because I don't have time to focus on her like I did with Reagan. I am horrible at remembering to drink water and take my vitamins!!!
Here are some pictures of her. Sorry for such poor quality.

1 year old!!
I can't believe Reagan is 1. It was an exciting day and also a day of remember whens. We had a little party on Saturday and he loved having all the attention. Grandma and Grandpa Crosland spoiled him like crazy and brought tons of balloons! He still is pulling the strings and dragging them around the house. He had his 1 year check up today and he is 22 lbs (60th percentile) his head is 19 inches (95th percentile) and thanks to the Rees genes he is 28 1/2 inches long... (10th percentile!!!!!!)
I really do have myself a little Ben but thats okay I love it. I don't care if he's short. He's the smartest little guy ever. He's doing things his dr. said most babies don't figure out until closer to 16-18 months of age. He is still a wild man and pretty much runs all day long. He's a good sleeper and a good eater if he can feed himself. So he eats a lot of fruit loops and pasta :) I'm trying to get rid of the bottle which is not going so well but we will figure it out. :) Here are some pictures for you to enjoy :)

What happened?
Once upon a time I had a sweet, cuddly, cute, peaceful baby.....
Now....
I have a wild thing...
He has learned how to terrorize everything in his path. He climbs on the couch, he starts the dishwasher, he pulls out all the pans, he throws his food on the floor, he throws everything out of his crib if he doesn't want to sleep, he has learned how to take his own diaper off, he dumps out all his toys, he climbs stairs, he runs around naked, he pulls things out of drawers and off of shelves....... and he says more....
but.... he gives me the sweetest kisses every morning :)
